Double Bassist – The Dancing Slippers

The Dancing Slippers are a group of four musicians brought together in London in 2011 to play French and Galician music. Their first concert was at Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green for the festival 30 Days around the World. The unusual instrumentation: bagpipes (French and Galician), recorders, fiddle, guitar and double bass gives a different sound to this music. The different backgrounds from the musicians: classical, folk and jazz also enables them to blend in different influences and create original arrangements.
